Technology Committee
A School Council exists for the purpose of promoting
Saint Rose of Lima School.
Members of this Council are appointed or elected from
the
various organizations representing the school community.

The School's Athletic Association coordinates our sports program. All
parents of student athletes are encouraged to become involved in our
Athletic Association.
Saint Rose of Lima School operates
a wide variety of athletic teams which are funded by the Athletic Association
through fundraisers. The total cost of providing athletic programs for our
youth exceeds $5,000 annually and is funded solely by the fund-raisers
held and the generous support of the friends and families of our students.
Football, basketball, and volleyball are
provided for boys in Grades 4 - 8. Baseball is available for boys in
grade 8 and Ice Hockey for boys in grades 7 - 8. Basketball, cheerleading, and
volleyball are provided for girls in Grades 4 - 8.
Any individual interested in coaching MUST
participate in the "Protect Our Children" Diocesan Program. Additional information is available online at:

ALL
VOLUNTEERS who would like to join the children of Saint Rose at
parties, field trips, special events, lunchroom duty, etc.,
MUST HAVE A CURRENT
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and Criminal
Background Check Clearance and also attend a Diocesan
sponsored "Virtus
- Protecting God's Children" Program. This also includes all parents/relatives who are or
would like to become coaches, assistant coaches, OM coaches, etc.
There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.

Volunteers
Volunteers are a vital part to the continued
growth and development of the Athletics Association, here at Saint Rose of
Lima, School; without which, our children would not be able to fully
appreciate life's blessings.
We encourage you to become a part of our team,
further fostering a Christian atmosphere by generously giving of your time
and talent.

All athletic activities
are governed by the Diocesan Athletic Guidelines. Copies of these
Guidelines and the Altoona Parochial League (APL) Constitution and Bylaws

All student athletes must maintain
an average of 70% or higher in all major subjects to participate in the
Saint Rose of Lima athletic program. All practices and games are
automatically cancelled if school is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Students who are absent from school may not participate in practice or in
a game on the day of the school absence.

All parents of students who attend Saint Rose of Lima's
School
are members of the Home/School Association.
Attendance at these meetings is strongly encouraged.
The chief function of these meetings is informational
and to give support to the school.
Parental interest and support of all Home and School
activities is very important.
Home/School Committees
Each class is to have at least two
Homeroom Parents. Their responsibilities include helping with parties,
working with the Home/School Officers, possibly assisting teachers on
Field Trips, etcetera. Seventh grade parents must Chair or provide a
Chairperson for the eighth grade dinner and party.

The Public Relations Committee
continually seeks new members. Knowledge or experience in Public
Relations is not necessary to become a part of this group .. just willing
hands and hearts! If you do have experience or expertise, please join and
help us along.

This committee meets monthly to discuss and
implement advanced technologies as it relates to the school and students.
Members include: Father Crookston, Pat Ronan, Marty Dombrowski, Bernie
Watt, Wayne Figurelle, and Pattie Fromknecht.
Any interested school parent or
guardian is welcome to attend. Please check the school calendar for
